The rooms at Kithulvilla Holiday Bungalow are simply amazing! They are spacious and beautifully furnished with a classic, Sri Lankan charm. I felt like I was staying in a traditional home surrounded by nature. It was a truly immersive experience.
Personally, I found the shared bathrooms a bit inconvenient. But hey, that's just my opinion, and I understand that some people might not mind it at all.

The decoration of the bungalow was absolutely charming, with elegant colonial-style furnishings and a cozy atmosphere. The general areas, such as the lounge and dining room, were spacious and comfortable, perfect for relaxing and socializing with other guests. As a senior woman, I appreciated that the bungalow was easily accessible, with wide doorways and ramps in place for ease of mobility.
The only thing I would ask for a better vacation for senior people is for the children working there to provide a bit more assistance in terms of helping with luggage or offering extra support when needed.

The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The pool was a great spot to relax and cool down during the hot weather. It was situated in a beautiful location surrounded by nature, which really added to the overall experience.
The bed was a bit too hard for our liking and there were some ants in the bathroom, which seemed to be inevitable considering we were in the middle of the jungle. Breakfast was served a little far away from where we were staying and there were quite a few flies around the food, but the evening meal we had was delicious.

Located next to a bridge with breathtaking views and away from the city bustle, the serene ambiance near the river is hard to miss. the room was cozy, but not without ants in the bathroom. Friendly staff provided prompt service. Breakfast was average but the home-cooked dinner was delectable. the infinity pool with lush jungle views was a highlight, and rafting nearby was exciting.
The bed was too hard, leaving my back aching.

We stayed here for a night as a stopover on the way from Ella to Colombo. Lara, the owner is so lovely and she really made it for us. The house is a traditional home and it makes you feel like you're getting the real feel for Sri Lanka. Lara made us a traditional sri lankan meal for dinner also and it was delicious. as all that, there is a beautiful pool to chill beside. Lara made us feel at home and very relaxed. Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

The staff were incredibly friendly and always went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. The beautiful pool had stunning views of the surrounding mountains, creating a romantic escape. the breakfast served at the hotel was absolutely delicious and we were always offered more.
The wifi connection in our room was not strong enough to access the internet. , due to the secluded location of the hotel, there were limited options for purchasing dinner or food elsewhere.

Spending Christmas in this beautiful hilltop home was a real treat. the panoramic view of the surrounding lush forests and mountains was breathtaking. the comfortable bed and fresh linen helped me sleep like a baby. the host made sure that our stay was comfortable, and the fact that she arranged an excursion for us was a bonus. the infinity pool was so inviting, and it gave us a serene and relaxing environment where we could unwind.
I didn't like that there wasn't a high chair available for meal times, making it a bit of a challenge to feed our little one. the prompt service and attentive staff more than made up for it.
